There are many advantages to getting a cosigner with good credit. Don’t get a home mortgage unless you know you are going to be able to pay it. If you have bad credit, and you cannot pay it, your cosigner is going to end up making the payments, at your high interest rates. You can get a home mortgage with a co signer if you have bad credit, but make sure you think it through.
